Kevin Sach, Partner

Kevin is the founding partner of Sach Solicitors, which he set up in 1999.  Prior to this he was a partner at City firm Hill Taylor Dickinson for 7 years having qualified with that firm in 1986.

Kevin specialises in all aspects of shipping and marine insurance litigation including charterparties, bills of lading, cargo claims, sale and purchase disputes as well as collision and salvage claims and insurance coverage issues.

Kevin's clients include ship owners as well as a number of the leading P&I Associations and insurance companies, ship managers, shipyards, brokers and overseas law firms.

Kevin is fluent in French and German having obtained a joint honours degree in both at Oxford University.

Russell Crumplin, Partner

Russell joined Sach Solicitors in September 2006 having been a partner in another London maritime firm. He has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of shipping, international trade and marine insurance litigation, advising shipowners, charterers, traders, P&I Clubs, brokers and underwriters alike.

 

Russell has acquired particular expertise over the years acting on behalf of shipowners, charterers, insurers in the arbitration and litigation of: cargo contamination and damage related disputes; collision, onboard fire / explosion and safe port disputes; insurance coverage disputes; ship sale / purchase disputes. 

 

Russell lectures regularly both in the UK and overseas on various maritime related issues. Russell holds a degree in Law and French and speaks fluent French.

Joseph Hodson, Paralegal

Joseph joined the firm as a paralegal in February 2020. He holds an LLM in International Maritime Law from Swansea University. Between his second and final undergraduate years, Joseph studied law at the University of Turku in Finland as part of the Erasmus programme.  

 

He speaks conversational German and French, and has elementary proficiency in Finnish.

Gabriella Jaiswal, Office Manager/Personal Assistant

As Office Manager and Personal Assistant to the partners, Gabriella ensures the smooth operation of the firm.

 

Prior to joining Sach Solicitors, Gabriella lived and worked in Italy and South Africa, having obtained her degree from the University of Manchester in the UK.

 

Gabriella speaks conversational French and German.

The SRA Transparency Rules 2018 ("the Rules") oblige us to state on our website charges for certain categories of services to be provided to individuals and small businesses which do not exceed 49 employees.
